SIX Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) lecturers have been featured among the world’s “Top 2% Scientists” by the US-based Stanford University.

Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, who is also UniMAP chancellor, said the six lecturers were Subash Chandra Bose Gopinath, Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri Abdullah, Uda Hashim, Azwan Iskandar Azmi, Liew Yun Ming and Voon Chun Hong.

“The list honours those who have successfully produced a substantial number of citations across multiple disciplines, in addition to being recognised on the ‘Career-long & Single Year Citation Impact’ list,” Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said in a statement today.

He said the recognition demonstrates UniMAP’s exceptional performance in scientific research, which has not only enhanced the reputation of the university but also the country.

“This achievement proves that UniMAP’s teaching staff and academic standards are on a par with those of the world’s best universities,” he said. – Bernama, November 21, 2023.
