TRANSPORT Minister Anthony Loke told parliament today the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) would set key performance indicators (KPIs) to track local airlines’ punctuality.
Loke said the regulator would look into setting limits for domestic flight cancellations.
He told the chamber during Ministers’ Question Time that Mavcom was set to deliver the KPIs by March 2024.
Loke said in the third quarter of this year, Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia ranked among the lowest in terms of punctuality – determined by aircraft arrival at the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time – for domestic flights.
He told the house SKS Airways and MASwings recorded the highest on-time performance for domestic flights at 93%, followed by Batik Air (82%) and FireFly (77%). – November 16, 2023.
