SELANGOR has approved 1,506 manufacturing projects with an investment value of RM 88.88 billion from 2018 to June this year, state Investment, Trade and Mobility Committee chairman Ng Sze Han said.
He said the amount comprised local investments totalling RM35.88 billion while RM53 billion were foreign investments.
“The approved manufacturing projects have created 95,610 jobs,” he told the state assembly in Shah Alam today.
He said this in response to Pua Pei Ling (Bukit Lanjan-PH), who asked about the amount of foreign investments in Selangor from 2018.
Ng said the state government has moved to boost foreign investments and the services sector.
“For the life science development sector, the ‘Selangor Lab Partnership’ programme was introduced to bridge the gap between education institutions and the industry to enable more focused collaborative research and so products can be commercialised,” he said. – Bernama, November 16, 2023.
