Parliament to discuss ‘coerced’ support for PM, school bullying today

THE Dewan Rakyat will today discuss allegations that a number of MPs were bribed or threatened into supporting the prime minister.

According to the Order Paper on the parliament website, Onn Abu Bakar (Batu Pahat-PH) is expected to question the home minister over the claims.

Kalam Salan (Sabak Bernam-PN) will ask the education minister about how schools respond to bullying complaints and whether the cases are reported to the police.

R. Ramanan (Sungai Buloh-PH) is expected to ask the entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister to outline the ministry’s plans to develop digital entrepreneurs.

Larry Sng (Julau-PBM) will question the transport minister about follow-up action to a meeting with e-hailing companies over a review of fares which are said to be too low.

The MPs will continue with the debate and winding up of the Supply Bill 2024 at the committee stage.
