BERSATU will refer two MPs from the party who expressed support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to its disciplinary board, party president Muhyiddin Yassin said.

He said the board would convene soon to determine the punishment for Gua Musang MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim and Jeli MP Zahari Kechik.

“The first two cases involved Kuala Kangsar MP (Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid) and Labuan MP (Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman), who were suspended for four and six years respectively,” he said at a press conference after a special supreme council meeting in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Iskandar had announced his decision to support the prime minister on October 12, followed by Suhaili on October 30.

Azizi did the same on Monday and Zahari on Wednesday. – Bernama, November 10, 2023.
