THE producer of “Syaitan Munafik”, Mohd Rosdi Shair, was relieved that the Indonesian film industry supported the film produced by United Nine Creative Sdn Bhd, which also featured the late Ashraf Sinclair.

He said 10 actors – among them Dafina Jamasir, Loli Ismaya, Doddy Sudrajat, Vidya Ully, Derick Jordan and Nadelyn – have agreed to attend the premiere in Kuala Lumpur on December 18.

His side will carry out a promotion in Malaysia and Indonesia so the last film starring Ashraf Sinclair, an actor who is also popular in Indonesia, gets widespread coverage.

“I am grateful for the support of comrades of the late Ashraf who died in Jakarta three years ago,” said Rosdi at the signing ceremony of the sponsorship agreement with PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, today.

Rosdi appreciates the airline’s sponsor of flights for artistes, media and members of the Malaysian and Indonesian production teams.

TransNusa will also provide full support for the launch in Kuala Lumpur, and in Jakarta on January 14, 2024.

Klinik Kecantikan Doktor Wir from Kelapa Gading, Indonesia sponsored the premiere in Kuala Lumpur as well as accommodation for the cast, crew and media.

“Syaitan Munafik” also stars two Indonesians Tessa Mariska and Dea Lestari as well as Malaysians Ruminah Sidek, Faisal Hussein, Linda Hashim, Hussien, Bandi Amuk, Erin C.T.J., Wom UG 14 and Yank Kassim.

The 2008 film was re-edited for screening and was kept for 15 years.

It was directed by the late Majed Saleh, who died on October 6, and will be seen in 50 cinemas across the country from December 21, and in Indonesia in mid-January 2024. – Bernama, November 9, 2023.
