PKR Youth plans to establish a special unit to help monitor issues related to religion, royalty and race on social media.

Its chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim said it was one of the proposals presented during the PKR Youth Convention and will be studied to see how it will be implemented.

“If there are those using social media to make accusations and allegations using racial issues, let there be counter-narratives as well. Those are among the things that can be done by this unit,” he said.

He said this when closing the central zone PKR Youth Convention, involving Perak, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, which was attended by 200 members, in Ipoh today.

Adam said PKR Youth also provides regular courses especially for new members to strengthen their understanding of the party’s principles and idealism.

“It will ensure that anyone who becomes a member of PKR understands and knows the principles of the party and can explain them better to the community,” he said. – Bernama, November 5, 2023.
