THE Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin arrived at Kuching International Airport (LTAK) today for a four-day official visit to Sarawak.

The royal couple, who arrived at 4pm, were welcomed by Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Abang Openg and his wife Juma’ani Bujang, and Deputy Sarawak Premier Sim Kui Hian and his wife Enn Ong Siok Ean.

Sarawak State Secretary Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Deputy Sarawak Energy and Environmental Sustainability Minister Hazland Abang Hipni and Deputy Sarawak Federal Secretary Banges Munga were also present to welcome the royal couple.

Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, to join the royal couple.

Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin are scheduled to visit the Sarawakiana Exhibition titled “Tradisi Kita Khazanah Kita” at the State Library and Borneo Culture Museum tomorrow.

They are also expected to attend the Sarawak Regatta – Kuching Waterfront Festival 2023, before enjoying a night cruise at the Kuching Waterfront.

They will also visit the Sarawak branch of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, Fort Margherita and the Juma’ani Pavilion, before attending a state banquet. – Bernama, November 4, 2023. – Bernama, November 4, 2023.
