THE overall development progress of the central database hub (Padu) was at 72% and system testing would be done from November to December, the Economy Ministry said today.

Padu was being developed with the expertise of civil servants led by the ministry.

The development of the system involved agencies such as the Statistics Department and the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit, which provided technical expertise in the development of information technology systems and the digitalisation of the public sector.

“The Finance Ministry is also involved in examining allocation requirements for the development of Padu,” Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said in a written reply posted on the parliament website today. – Bernama, October 25, 2023.
