PEOPLE have been flocking to Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil since 5pm to attend the “Malaysia Stands with Palestine” rally tonight.

Participants came wearing white to show solidarity with Palestinians suffering from attacks by the Israel regime.

The rally, expected to be attended by 20,000 people, was marked by the hoisting of the Malaysian and Palestine flags alongside chants to “Free Palestine”.

The rally officially began with mass Maghrib prayers and solat hajat (prayer of needs) to pray for the wellbeing of Palestinians, followed by a series of speeches on the history and developments of the Palestine-Israel conflict.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to deliver a special message at the rally.
