THE Pangkalan Data Utama (Padu) database mj system is able to streamline government assistance and prevent overlaps, Deputy Finance Minister I Ahmad Maslan said today.

He said the system stores the socioeconomic and government aid data of every Malaysian household.

“The database has information on the government aid received by each citizen,” he saod.

“Sometimes the aid overlaps so we want to prevent it,” he said as a guest on the Jendela Fikir programme on Bernama Radio today.

Last month, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said development of the Padu system was 60% completed and would be ready to go in January. – Bernama, October 18, 2023.
