LOW-COST carrier MYAirline, which shut down this week, has received multiple offers that it is evaluating with regard to a strategic partnership, interim accountable executive Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said.
He said updates on the situation would be provided to their passengers and stakeholders.
“On behalf of MYAirline, we would like to express our deep regret about the recent event and how it has impacted all our passengers.
“We are currently expediting the refund process and would like to kindly request your patience as we are handling a high volume of more than 12,000 e-mails.”
Azharuddin said the carrier is in the process of establishing a hotline to better assist affected passengers.
He said to facilitate the refund process, passengers should to send their booking via e-mail at [email protected].
As for the employment status of MYAirline personnel, Azharuddin said the staff remain fully employed that that no one has been placed on unpaid leave.
On Thursday, MYAirline has suspended operations until further notice as financial pressure mounted.
The low-cost airline said it came to the “extremely painful decision” because of financial pressures that have made it necessary to suspend operations pending a shareholder restructuring and recapitalisation. – October 14, 2023.
