Parliament to discuss aid for Palestine

THE Dewan Rakyat will today measures to be taken to help victims in Gaza, Palestine, following Israel’s blocking of access to basic necessities such as electricity, food, water and gas.

According to the Order Paper on parliament’s official website, the matter will be raised by Tan Hong Pin (Bakri-PH) to the foreign minister during minister’s question time.

Idris Ahmad (Bagan Serai-PN) will ask the natural resources, environment and climate change minister on the law that could be enforced on neighbouring countries causing Malaysia to be engulfed in smog.

Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (Bandar Tun Razak-PH) will seek an answer from the Communications and Digital minister regarding law enforcement measures and public awareness of the cyber threats posed by artificial intelligence.

Suhaimi Nasir (Libaran-BN) will ask the Local Government Development minister about initiatives to help hawkers secure a licence and site to do businesses.

The session will continue with the second reading of the Suruhanjaya Industri Perkhidmatan Air Negara (Amendment) Bill 2023.
