THE Education Ministry (MOE) was set to recruit 9,500 new teachers in November to address the current shortage.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said they would be given immediate placements after interviews were complete.
She said this at a press conference after officiating the Agrotek Madani@KVKPM Carnival 2023 at Pasir Puteh Vocational College, which was also attended by Education director-general Pkharuddin Ghazali in Pasir Puteh today.
Meanwhile, Fadhlina said maintenance work on school washrooms under the MOE was 90% complete.
“The project is monitored by the Kelantan Development Department, Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister’s Department, and I was informed it is 90% complete.
In July, the MOE gave schools nationwide three months to complete the maintenance of their toilets, with an allocation of RM70,000 for each school. – Bernama, October 7, 2023.
