VOTER turnout for the Pelangai state seat by-election stood at 53% as of 1pm today, the Election Commission said.
The voting process, which involves nine polling centres with 30 channels, will conclude at 6pm.
A total of 16,456 people are eligible to vote in the polls, including 73 postal ballots issued for 36 members of the police force and three overseas absentee voters.
The Pelangai by-election sees a three-cornered battle between Barisan Nasional’s Amizar Abu Adam, Kasim Samat of Perikatan Nasional and Independent candidate Haslihelmy D.M. Zulhasni. – Bernama, October 7, 2023.
