FIVE areas in Malaysia continue to record unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings as of 10am today.
According to the Air Pollutant Index Management System website, the highest API score, of 153, was logged in Bukit Rambai, Malacca.
Other areas with bad air were Bandaraya Melaka with 151, Batu Pahat (134),Tangkak, 122 and Port Dickson (124).
An API reading of 0-50 is considered “good”, 51-100 (moderate), 101-200 (unhealthy), 201-300 (very unhealthy), and 300 and above (hazardous).
The website showed that 51 of 68 stations showed moderate readings. Twelve showed readings below 50.
