THE retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel will remain unchanged at RM3.47, RM2.05, and RM2.15 per litre from October 5 to 11.  

The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the prices are based on the weekly retail prices of petroleum products in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

“To protect consumers from the price increase of global oil, the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, even though the market prices for both products have increased beyond the current ceiling prices,” it said. 

“The government will continue to monitor changes in world crude oil prices and take measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people,” it added. – Bernama, October 4, 2023.
