THE Jepak by-election in Sarawak will be held on November 4, announced the Election Commission (EC) today.

Nomination will be held on Oct 21, while early voting is on Oct 31.

The announcement was made by EC deputy chairman Azmi Sharom at the commission’s Putrajaya headquarters after a special meeting on the polls.

The Jepak by-election was called after the death of incumbent Talib Zulpilip due to kidney complications on September 15.

Talib, 72, held the Jepak seat for six terms from 1996. Jepak is in the Bintulu parliamentary constituency. – September 25, 2023.
