POLICE questioned Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin again this morning over the remarks he made during the recent twin by-elections in Johor.

This is the second time he had been called in to give his statement over his speeches during the campaign period.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department chief Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain confirmed that Muhyiddin was summoned this morning, reported Malaysiakini.

This time, he was questioned over his speech in Simpang Jeram on September 3 where he had allegedly said Malays had lost political power and control of the federal government.

Previously, the police recorded Muhyiddin’s statement regarding another speech delivered on the same day in the Pulai constituency during the by-election campaign.

In Pulai, Muhyiddin had said it was “haram” to vote for Pakatan Harapan. – Bernama, September 21, 2023.
