PRELIMINARY investigations found no foul play in the deaths of three family members whose bodies were discovered last week in an apartment in Ampang, Selangor.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said a suicide note containing a list of creditors was found at the scene.

He said the police will call up the nearest kin of the deceased for their statements.

“The post-mortem has been completed but the cause of death has yet to be ascertained. Police are still waiting for the report from the toxicology test,” he told Bernama yesterday.

The bodies of a 42-year-old woman and two children, aged 14 and 15, were found last Thursday in an apartment in Kampung Baru Ampang.

The case was classified as sudden death.

An envelope containing a will and cash was also found at the scene. An examination by the forensic pathology team from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital found the doors and windows of the apartment tightly sealed with adhesive tape. – Bernama, September 12, 2023.
