DEWAN Negara president Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said his Telegram account was hacked a few days ago.

In a statement today, Wan Junaidi said he has lodged a report with the authorities.

He told the public not to be deceived by calls or messages allegedly from him, especially those involving financial matters or meeting arrangements.

“For anyone receiving such messages or calls, you can contact my office at 03-2601 7610 for verification. I am deeply disappointed by the actions of this hacker and hope the public will not fall for such scams.

“I would like to advise the public to be more vigilant about scams done via various social media apps, and to report the actions of such hackers to the authorities,” he said. – Bernama, September 6, 2023.
