Selangor unveils exco portfolios

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari will hold five portfolios relating to land and natural resources development, finance and economic action, government administration, strategic communication, education, and human capital development. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 23, 2023.

THE portfolios of each member of the Selangor state executive council were revealed today. 

Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, who is the Sungai Tua assemblyman, will hold five portfolios, leading the state’s committees for land and natural resources development, finance and economic action, digitisation and modernisation of government administration, strategic communication, and education and human capital development. 

Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han will hold the investment, trade and mobility portfolio, while Kota Anggerik assemblyman Najwan Halimi will lead the youth, sports and entrepreneurship committee.

Bandar Utama assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin will take on the public health and environment portfolios. 

Banting assemblyman V Papparaidu will handle human resources and poverty eradication, while Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim is in charge of local government and tourism.  

Sungai Tawar assemblyman Rizam Ismail takes on the rural development and unity portfolios, and Pandan Indah assemblyman Izham Hashim is the executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture. 

Seri Setia assemblyman Fahmi Ngah was named the Islamic Affairs and innovation executive councillor, while Taman Templer assemblyman Anfaal Saari will lead the women’s development and community welfare committees.  

The trio of Sze Han, Suee Lim and Papparaidu are also joint chairmen of the special committee for Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Taoism. – August 23, 2023.
