YOUTH leaders need to nurture and develop a line of leaders of calibre who would serve the country in the future, said Malacca Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh.

He said current youth leaders will pass the age limit soon, so early preparations must be made to build the next generation of leaders.

“The youth must be efficient, fast, creative, intelligent and brave in facing any challenge because they will determine the success of every national development agenda in the future,” he told reporters after launching National Youth Day in Alor Gajah today.

Also present were Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim and state Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman V.P. Shanmugam.

Ab Rauf said youth groups in Malacca must move proactively in activating programmes, especially those that can ease the people’s burdens. – Bernama, August 20, 2023.
