STATE-level engagement sessions for input for Budget 2024 will begin tomorrow, starting with Malacca, said Deputy Finance Minister I Ahmad Maslan.

He said the sessions are expected to take a month, and tomorrow’s kick-off session in Malacca will start with a dialogue between the Finance Ministry and the state government.

“We will travel to other states… I hope the public will give their views and proposals for Budget 2024 through the Finance Ministry’s online portal,” he told reporters after officiating “Melangkah Bersama Peniaga Wanita B40” in Johor Bahru today.

Budget 2024 has been scheduled for tabling in parliament on October 13.

Ahmad said he is confident Budget 2024 will contain more aid for female and young entrepreneurs.

“I am confident there will be allocations for female entrepreneurs in Budget 2024, and they will be increased to help women engage in business.

“With information and knowledge about business, they will not fall for scams that will lead to losses,” the Pontian MP said. – Bernama, August 20, 2023.
