PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will on Wednesday announce its candidates for the Pulai and Simpang Jeram by-elections, to be held on September 9.

Johor PH deputy chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the new faces are locals and highly educated.

He spoke to reporters after a closed-door meeting between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) at the Johor Umno building in Johor Baru today.

On the special meeting, which was also attended by Johor BN chairman Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Aminolhuda said the discussion was aimed at further strengthening the unity pact’s cooperation to ensure victory.

The Election Commission has fixed August 26 for nomination, September 5 for early voting and September 9 for polling in both by-elections. – Bernama, August 18, 2023.
