SELANGOR Pakatan Harapan chairman Amirudin Shari said the palace will announce the menteri besar (MB).

Amirudin said his audience with Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah this afternoon was to brief the ruler on current developments.

“I had an audience with Tuanku as usual, enquired about his health and discussed developments on the state’s economic achievements,” he told reporters in front of Istana Bukit Kayangan today.

Amirudin said he cannot disclose points of discussion when asked if the appointment of the MB was brought up.

He said questions about MB candidates should be posed to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim because the list was submitted by the latter.

In the Selangor elections, PH-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) won 34 seats while Perikatan Nasional took 22.

During the campaign, Anwar said Amirudin will be MB should PH-BN win the polls. – Bernama, August 17, 2023.
