OVER 100 technical officers will be stationed at 38 district offices in Sabah to monitor the development of small projects.
Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Armizan Mohd Ali said one engineer and two assistant engineers (114 total) will be assigned to each district office.
“Previously, the federal government authorised district officials to carry out small government projects themselves, especially under the Prime Minister’s Department, but the projects could not be implemented properly due to various constraints.
“We hope these problems can be resolved (and) all development projects set for the respective districts can be implemented as soon as possible,” he told reporters after launching “Bicara Kemerdekaan” at SM Agama Toh Puan Hajjah Rahmah in Papar today. – Bernama, August 14, 2023.
