BERSATU assemblymen will be appointed as Terengganu state excos, caretaker menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said, adding that the list of exco members would be finalised within a week.

“We are looking at this because we are now a coalition in Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“There will be consideration and improvement in the portfolios.

“We will take time to review the position of this portfolio and of course there will be Bersatu representatives,” he told reporters at the Rusila Mosque, in Marang today.

At the same time, Samsuri, who retained Ru Rendang’s seat, said PN had not yet received a specific date from the palace for the swearing in ceremony.

He said the matter would need the consent of the Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.

“The PAS president (Abdul Hadi Awang) will send a letter to Tuanku about the proposed state leadership.

“The date will be decided by the palace,” he said.

PN swept all 32 Terengganu state assembly seats in the state polls yesterday.

It allows the coalition to maintain its administration in Terengganu for the second term.

PAS regained control of Terengganu after overthrowing the Barisan Nasional (BN) government in the 2018 general election. –  August 13, 2023.
