CARETAKER Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari is suing Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor for claiming he was involved in dubious dealings in connection with a river development project
Amirudin said the Kedah PAS leader should receive a letter from his lawyers by Thursday.
“We can see that in the last few days before the polls, certain quarters have been slandering and recycling issues that were already answered in the Selangor state assembly, for example, for example the SMG (Selangor Maritime Gateway). That’s been answered twice in the state assembly.
“This shows how desperate PN is to create lies and unfounded claims,” he said in Gombak today.
The RM700 million Selangor Maritime Gateway project entails the widening and deepening of Sungai Klang stretching from Mid Valley City in Kuala Lumpur to Port Klang.
On Friday, Amirudin denied all accusations levied at him by Sanusi at a Perikatan Nasional ceramah at Dataran Darul Aman.
Sanusi had accused Amirudin of colluding with a businessman to gain a government contract to develop Sungai Klang in Selangor.
Yesterday, Berjaya Group founder Vincent Tan issued a letter to Sanusi demanding a public apology and payment of RM200 million in compensation for those claims. – August 8, 2023.
