More than 80% early voters in 5 states at 1pm

FOUR of six states recorded more than 80% of early voter turnout as of 1pm, the Election Commission said.

It said Terengganu had the highest percentage at 85%, followed by Kelantan and Negri Sembilan at 83% each, and Kedah with 81%.

Penang recorded 80% and Selangor had 78%.

The Kuala Terengganu by-election recorded 80% early voter turnout.
