Vincent Tan demands apology, RM200 million from Sanusi

BERJAYA Group founder Vincent Tan has issued a letter of demand to Kedah caretaker Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, demanding a public apology and payment of RM200 million in compensation, reported malaysiakini.

This is over Sanusi’s claim of impropriety between the tycoon and Selangor caretaker Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari over the Klang River cleaning project.

Tan’s lawyers representing Pierre Chuah & Associates, through the letter of demand, asserted that Sanusi’s claims are “plainly false, untrue, unwarranted, unsubstantiated, malicious, and mischievous statements against our client”.

They also demanded Sanusi retract his claims and cease repeating the statement.

Sanusi has until the close of the business day tomorrow to agree to their demands. –  August 7, 2023.
