MALAYSIAN Armed Forces personnel and police, as well as their spouses, vote in the state elections and Kuala Terengganu by-election tomorrow.

The Kuala Terengganu by-election is a result of the Terengganu Election Court’s June 27 annulment of PAS’ Ahmad Amzad Hashim’s victory in the general election due to corruption.

The Election Commission said the electoral roll, last updated June 21, will be used in the Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan polls.

For early voting, 49,660 military and 47,728 police officers, as well as their spouses, will cast their ballots at 260 centres comprising 377 channels.

Early voters for the Kuala Terengganu by-election are 1,362 policemen and 35 military officers along with their spouses. Four early polling centres will be opened at the Kuala Terengganu Police Contingent Headquarters.

All early polling centres open at 8am.

In Kuala Terengganu, the polling centres in Batu Buruk close at 12pm, followed by Bandar at 2pm and Ladang at 5pm. There are no early polling centres in Waqf Mempelam. – Bernama, August 7, 2023.
