DON’T experiment with your ballots by choosing the opposition, Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Amirudin Shari told Selangor voters today.

The caretaker Selangor menteri besar said the state needed continuity and stability to prosper.

The state has been under PH control since 2008. This time PH is working with Barisan Nasional in facing Perikatan Nasional and a handful of other smaller parties such as PSM and Muda.

“Selangor needs stability for continuous prosperity. Voters should choose those who have been proven to carry out their responsibilities with dedication.

“We cannot experiment. If we experiment (in the state election), it would disturb and affect (the economy) because we are the economic heart of this country.

“To voters in Selangor, fulfil your responsibility because we need continuity for the next five years,” he said during the “Soal Rakyat” programme on TV3.

Selangor, along with Kelantan, Kedah, Terengganu, Penang and Negri Sembilan, will go to the polls on Saturday.

Amirudin also said the PH-BN combination would boost Selangor because BN had much experience in developing the country.

“We (would) implement an administration that is transparent, trustworthy and full of integrity. Our (administration) will also adopt a moderate approach as we continue to develop Selangor.

“We are also strengthening people’s education, skills training, and sustainable living.

“Through the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang initiative, we are trying to make Selangor a dream state for everyone to live in… This is what the state could achieve,” he said.

PH has named him as the menteri besar candidate if they retain the state. – August 6, 2023.
