PENANG DAP chief Chow Kon Yeow today urged party members to remain united in ensuring a victory for Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the state.
He said members should stop being angry over candidate selection and work hard to ensure victory.
He told reporters in George Town that the state DAP has not received any news about boycotts other than members contesting as Independents in two seats.
“This (disgruntlement) is a chapter that should be closed, so we can open up another chapter (for PH) to win power for a fourth term (as the Penang government),” he said.
Several veteran party leaders had been dropped as candidates and replaced by new faces, in what the party labelled as a rejuvenation process.
However, some of those dropped leaders were unhappy with the manner in which they were sidelined. – July 29, 2023.
