FORMER prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad wants everyone to stop labelling Malaysia as a multiracial country.
He stressed that Malaysia is a Malay country which has welcomed others to stay here.
Continuing his tirade against the multiracial aspect of Malaysia and the supposed weakening of the Malays, Dr Mahathir said Malaysia remains a Malay land.
“Stop talking about Malaysia as a multiracial country. It is not.
“It is a Malay country which hosts people from other countries.
“Many countries do this. But these countries remain the land of its definitive people,” he said in a statement today.
Dr Mahathir is currently promoting his Malay Proclamation agenda to fight for the rights of the Malays, saying that they were being marginalised in their own land.
In recent weeks, he has aligned himself with opposition coalition Perikatan Nasional in objecting to the unity federal government. – July 27, 2023.

Mahathir has chosen to ignore historical facts.
Maybe that is why he treated the Orang Asli so badly, not only denying them their rights during his long tenure as PM, but is now also attempting to usurp their rightful position as the definitive people.
He calls himself a Malay, but his roots are in India. So how can Mahathir of all people call himself and people like him, the definitive people of the land?
