PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin said the candidates are assets with experience. But he did not name them.

“Among the candidates to be fielded by PN are people who previously held top positions in government,” he was quoted as saying today by the New Straits Times.

“They have wide experience in their respective fields and they are persons with integrity.”

The Larut lawmaker was confident PN has what it takes to govern the states it wins.

The coalition held the states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah while the Pakatan Harapan led Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan.

PN is expected to stage aggressive campaigns to capture Selangor and Negri Sembilan. The PN chairman last month declared that Bersatu will take the menteri besar posts in these states if the coalition wins,
