Bioeconomy Corp appoints Lee Boon Chye as new chairman

THE Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation (Bioeconomy Corp) has appointed Dr Lee Boon Chye as its new non-executive chairman, effective July 11.

In a statement, it said Lee has assumed the post vacated by Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, who retired on December 16 last year.

Lee has a vast and notable experience primarily in the medical sector, and is currently a resident consultant physician and cardiologist at KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital, it said.

Previously, he had served as deputy health minister from 2018 to 2020, and was also Gopeng lawmaker from 2008 to 2022.
