JOHOR is ready to host the Tesla Supercharger network, Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said today.

He said he had met with Tesla’s regional director Isabel Fan on the US electric vehicle (EV) giant’s plans to build the network.

Onn Hafiz touted the state’s conducive ecosystem and policies with emphasis on transition to green technology as its chief attractions.

State Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs committee chairman Lee Ting Han and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) CEO Arham Abdul Rahman were present at the meeting.

Onn Hafiz said is hopeful that the plans would bear fruit so as to create jobs and domestic participation in  Tesla’s investment ecosystem.
