PAKATAN Harapan (PH) is optimistic its alliance with Barisan Nasional (BN) will let it retain Negri Sembilan, Selangor and Penang in the state elections, said PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli.
He said the monthly survey findings done in PH-held states showed a high level of voter satisfaction with the bloc.
He said Negri Sembilan, led by Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun, obtained the highest mark from voters with a 75% approval rating.
“In studies done from January to May, one common question was whether (voters) support and are satisfied with the existing state government.
“Seventy-five per cent of voters in Negri Sembilan say they are satisfied with the current state government, the highest approval rating among the six states. We pray this situation will persist,” he said when speaking at the Madani Ceramah Tour in Sikamat last night.
Rafizi did not provide data for the other states but said he is confident with the level of support shown by voters, especially those aged 30 and above.
PAS-ruled Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan are also set to hold their state polls.
Aminuddin in his speech said in line with the federal unity government’s formation, PH-BN’s cooperation has become stronger in Negri Sembilan.
Aminuddin said PH and BN will campaign together for all seats they are contesting to ensure unity government candidates win the polls. – Bernama, July 5, 2023.
