SMALLHOLDERS are eligible to receive Rubber Production Incentive (RPI) payments from today to July 31 based on June 2023 production, said the Malaysian Rubber Board.

In a statement, the board said the RPI for cup lumps and activated latex for June in Peninsular Malaysia is 30 sen per kg for 50% dry rubber content (DRC) and 60 sen per kg for 100% DRC.

For Sabah, the rate is 65 sen per kg for 50% DRC and RM1.30 per kg for 100% DRC, while for Sarawak, the rate is 60 sen per kg for 50% DRC and RM1.20 per kg for 100% DRC.

The RPI rate for latex is 90 sen per kg for 100% DRC.

Last month, the board said the average farmgate prices for cup lumps were RM2.40 per kg for Peninsular Malaysia, RM2.05 per kg for Sabah and RM2.10 per kg for Sarawak.

The board said the RPI will be activated if the average monthly price at farms for cup lumps is below the RM2.70 level per kg from January this year.

The increase in the new activation pricing level is an initiative made by the government in Budget 2023. – Bernama, July 1, 2023.
