PUTRAJAYA will disburse the RM200 aid under the e-Tunai Belia Rahmah programme to the eligible starting 8am tomorrow.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim made the announcement this afternoon at the launch of the rebranded Rakan Muda programme at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Previously, the Finance Ministry (MOF) had said the registration and payment period was from June 26 to Aug 22.
On June 21, youth aged 18 to 20 or full-time students at institutions of higher education (IPT) could start registering to receive RM200 for the e-Tunai Belia Rahmah programme.
Eligible youths could register through any of the three e-wallet service providers, namely Boost, Setel, and Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
“The e-Tunai Belia Rahmah credits and matching benefits from participating e-wallet providers can be issued ‘offline’ until August 31,” the MOF said in the statement.
The initiative targets Malaysian youth aged 18 to 20 and is open to all active full-time students in IPTs in the country.
The MOF said participating e-wallet providers will offer other incentives in the form of vouchers, cashback, or discounts during the programme period. – June 25, 2023.
