THE unity government’s aim of winning at least 50 seats in the Selangor polls is realistic and achievable, Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said.
He said the target is attainable with the combined strength of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN).
“Our realistic target is to win two-thirds of the seats in Selangor. It is doable and achievable if we combine the votes from PH and BN.
“This is the time to convince the grassroots on both sides (PH and BN) to work together and secure a win for the super coalition (unity government), and ensure peace and stability in Selangor,” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after performing Friday prayers with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn mosque in Cheras today.
Amirudin was responding to views by observers and the opposition that PH and BN’s target of winning 50 out of the 56 state seats in Selangor is not realistic.
