PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim is expected to make an announcement tomorrow about the country’s current financial situation and the shrinking value of the ringgit, The Star reports.

Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan said Anwar will speak at an event at the Securities Commission tomorrow at noon.

“The PM will be attending the programme after the swearing-in of the new Dewan Negara president,” Ahmad said today in Johor Baru.

“I leave it to him to speak about policy matters.”

The ringgit is currently trading at 4.61 against the greenback. – June 18, 2023.
