THE dissolution date of the Terengganu assembly has not been decided, said Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

He said several other important dates have been suggested, but they must be presented to Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin first for his consent.

“As to when I will meet Tuanku Sultan is not known yet. I have yet to seek an audience with Tuanku Sultan regarding this matter.

“Let me inform Tuanku Sultan first and then I will announce it. We still have time until June 30 (when the assembly automatically dissolves),” he told reporters after the launch of Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) election machinery in Marang last night. 

Kedah and Selangor also have yet to announce when their assemblies are being dissolved, while Kelantan, Penang and Negri Sembilan will dissolve theirs on June 22, 28, and 30, respectively. 

PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainuddin, who attended the launch, said the bloc’s presidential council will convene on June 21 to discuss seat distribution for the six state elections. – June 17, 2023.
