Are Malaysians used to nonsense?

The Malaysian Insight

WE are in the final stretch before Parliament is dissolved and the date for GE14 is announced, and it is most likely held before the fasting month begins in mid-May.

It’s also the beginning of the silly season where threats will be plentiful; where this crop of ministers will prove once again that you don’t have to be competent to serve; where scandals will be labelled as fake news and fake news dressed up as news in the mainstream media.

Malaysians have seen and heard it all before‎. Sadly, nothing surprises us anymore.

Just ask yourself these questions:

  1. Were you remotely shocked that Felda activist Mazlan Aliman was picked up from his home at 1.45am after his biting online criticism against the government and the prime minister’s wife?
  2. Did the speech by an Umno leader urging party members to vandalise business outlets that are deemed anti-government seem so out of character for a ruling party politician?
  3. Did you fall off your chair when the Umno politicians were falling over themselves to defend financier Jho Low and repeat the party line that no offences were committed at 1MDB?
  4. Are you surprised that the police have closed investigations involving the MACC chief and his alleged affair on government time and expense?
  5. Are you surprised that the government keeps asking for more money with new supplementary supply bills despite tabling budgets that are said to be cutting down on deficit?

If the answer to all five questions is NO, that should indicate how immunised Malaysians have become to the ridiculous and the brazen.

Even more sad is the fact that we can’t depend on any institution to help us save Malaysia.

All said and done, it’s down to you. – March 24, 2018.

  • Sadly for OVERWHELMING MOST MALAYSIAN - its NO. Even in the rural area. I do not buy the idea rural folks do not know that Najib is a crook or that by now Rosmah wasteful ways.. These are stuff of gossips and the rural folks lap them up. Dependency is what really is holding back the rural voters and they do not giveup their dependency even if you give them another..

    • Yes, do agree with you. The immediately change is not possible because they have been brain washed for so many decades already. However, the wheels of history will continue to move on and hopefully the generations to come will witness it.

  • If you bullshit too much, you start believing your own bullshit and everybody elses bullshit, and if you pretend too much, you can't tell which is pretend and which is real. Malaysians bullshit and pretend too much.

    • We bullshit and pretend with each other, our politicians and leaders bullshit and pretend to us, our institutions and media outlets, including the malaysian insight, bullshit and pretend to us, and by the time we are done with all the bullshit and pretence, we start thinking that the bullshit makes sense and what is pretend is real . We reap what we sow.

Please stop using google translation for help.No wonder with readership like you is helping the blog site to be viewed as low tier and under volume..

He actually lied that rosmah got felda contracts. 2. No its not out of character for a malay. 3. No umno politician defends jho low. 4. How is his affair on government time & expenses?. Its another lie. 5. What has supplimentary budget got to do with cutting deficit?. Another lie...
