BUKIT Aman confirmed Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was questioned yesterday over his statement that Penang belonged to Kedah.

Bukit Aman secretary Noorsiah Saaduddin said the Classified Crime Investigation Unit from the Bukit Aman Crime Investigation Department recorded Sanusi’s statement at the Kedah Menteri Besar’s office in Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Star, yesterday.

“Bukit Aman is currently in the process of completing the investigation papers before sending them to the Attorney-General’s Chambers soon, in line with provisions under article 145(3) of the Federal Constitution,” said Noorsiah in a statement last night.

Meanwhile, in Alor Star, Sanusi said he was asked five questions.

Yesterday, Bukit Aman had received reports and investigation papers were opened in connection with statements made by Sanusi.

On May 29, Sanusi was reported as saying that Penang belonged to Kedah. – Bernama, June 8, 2023.
