PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim today reiterated the unity government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel by channelling funds to restore dilapidated quarters and buildings.
Anwar said this in a Facebook post after receiving a courtesy call from army chief Mohammad Ab Rahman at his office today.
“I am always committed to ensuring the welfare of our armed forces personnel, especially access to quality education for their children,” he said.
Anwar also mentioned his concerns about the country’s defence assets, which he said seem to be lagging behind that of neighbouring countries.
He said he hopes the country’s armed forces remain steadfast in ensuring the safety of Malaysians. – Bernama, May 29, 2023.
