THE Dewan Rakyat today will discuss, among others, the government’s next steps following Malaysia’s performance at the SEA Games.

The Order Paper on the parliament website said Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (Pasir Mas-PN) will raise the matter to Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh during Ministers’ Question Time when the sitting begins at 10am.

Also listed is a question from Lo Su Fui (Tawau-GRS) to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim about the government’s commitment to solve water woes in Sabah, as announced in the Unity Government National Convention.

During the oral question-and-answer session, Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman (Sik-PN) will ask the prime minister about efforts to empower the administration of shariah courts, including in terms of shariah punishments and the appointment of judges.

After the session, the Dewan Rakyat will continue with the second reading of the Renewable Energy (Amendment) Bill 2023 and the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (Amendment) Bill 2023.
