THE Education Ministry will make an official announcement on the date the 2022 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results will be released, minister Fadhlina Sidek said.

She urged all parties not to speculate on the matter.

“There is a lot of speculation. You all must ensure that there is no fake news about the SPM announcement.

“Until there is an announcement from me and Datuk K.P. (Education director-general Pkharuddin Ghazali), it is not correct,” she told reporters after the Madani Education Roadshow and Hari Raya celebration with the education minister event in Kota Baru today.

Fadhlina was asked to comment on a viral post that the 2022 SPM results would be announced on May 25.

On a separate matter, she said the ministry is still waiting for the investigation report on an incident in March where a Year Five pupil was allegedly slapped by the headmistress.

“Appropriate action will be taken after the investigation is completed,” she said.

“The Kelantan Education Department is giving full cooperation to the police.” – Bernama, May 20, 2023.
