TWO boys were found drowned today after falling into Sungai Masai near the Seri Intan Flats in Bandar Seri Alam, Pasir Gudang last night.

Pasir Gudang fire station operations commander Sarhan Akmal Mohamad said the victims were identified as Mohd Danish Ahmad, 11, and Zahir Ajmal Mohd Idris, 13.

He said the rescue team carried out a search in the area where the boys had been reported missing.

“The body of Danish was found at about 5am while that of Zahir Ahmad, at 7.38am, about 50m from the spot where they had fallen into the river. The depth of the water is about three metres,” he said in a statement today.

The bodies have been handed over to the police for further action. The search-and-rescue operation ended at 8.33am. – Bernama, May 20, 2023.
